Signum.SigiStudio is the core of a broadcast automation control and management system. Together with the real-time broadcast playout server signum.BlackHive or signum.SigiNino Signum provides a fully integrated automation solution.
SigiStudio is used to control multiple channels and devices. It also supports the preparation of playlists and schedules, which then may operate in a full automatic mode. Videos and stills of any format can be put in any sequence and directly broadcasted on air.
Fading effects, Logo insertion, subtitling etc. are some of the large variety in features which are supported by the Signum solution. SigiStudio can be hosted on any standard PC and connect via TCP/IP to any signum.BlackHive or signum.SigiNino playout server in the network. Preparation of playlists can be done also via the Web-client. In this way the run down lists can be prepared from any part in the world. Once the playlists are ready the system instructs to playout the videos including all effects, logos, text, etc. Already active playlists can be changed during the playout in order to update and change where required at any time.
SigiStudio supports multi-channel playout, including simultaneous playout of several playout channels controlled by a single SigiStudio Control application. A vertical timeline view provides simultaneous overview of all channels. The horizontal view permits the control of the individual channels. SigiStudio playout channels can also be set up to broadcast programs live on the Internet, along with the broadcasts feeds, without requiring additional hardware or software.
The signum.BlackHive is already equipped with a large internal storage allowing the playout of videos for many days. In addition the storage may be extended by attached storage devices to even further extend the already large storage. This is used in conjunction with highest quality with either low or zero compression for many hours of playing time.
